Aleksandra Gajewska from the Civic Coalition, referring in “Kropka nad i” to the Independence March planned for Thursday, said that “it could have been a joyful celebration of proud Poles this year”, and – as she said – “has been changed into a regular one for years, Kibolska act “. Krzysztof Bosak from the Confederation stated that the president of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, is responsible for the confusion around the organization of the Independence Day, who “wanted to disorganize Polish patriots with right-wing or national views” on November 11th.

On Thursday afternoon, a nationalist march is to start from the Dmowski roundabout, which by the decision Office for Veterans and Victims of Oppression is to be of a state nature. Earlier, its organizers tried to register it as a cyclical event, but the appellate court upheld the revocation of the decision of the Mazowieckie Voivode by the district court.

Gajewska stated that “it could have been a joyful celebration of proud Poles this year, it was the first such chance in a long time”. – And this holiday has been transformed into a regular Kibolska act for years, and today it has received the rank of official, state celebrations – she added. “This is the licensing of evil, this is where the masks have fallen, and this face they showed is such a hateful xenophobe, embodying all phobias and fueling the lowest motives to manipulate human emotions,” she continued.

Gajewska: a fanatic who receives systemic support has become a pet of this power

In this context, she referred to Robert Bąkiewicz, a former nationalist ONR activist and organizer of the Independence March in previous years, whose association receives subsidies from public money, including the Patriotic Fund.

– The pet of this power has become a fanatic who receives systemic support from this power, also in the form of subsidies for many millions of zlotys – said the KO deputy.

She added that such an attitude of the government camp towards people associated with Bąkiewicz “is bowing to semi-radical, extreme circles that should be on the margins because they are harmful to Polish society.”

Bosak: Trzaskowski wanted to disrupt the celebration for Polish patriots

Krzysztof Bosak, speaking of Thursday’s march, stated that “this is a grassroots event” for which “Polish patriots come for their money”.

The lecturer’s comment that it was not grassroots anymore, because it had gained a state character, he replied: – The Office for Veterans’ Affairs registered the route, but entrusted the organization to the organizer, as it does every year.

He stated that he treated this decision of the office as “a solution to a crisis caused by the authorities of Warsaw, by Rafał Trzaskowski, who did not want to be a good host for all Warsaw residents and all guests who come for the Independence Day”.

He added that Trzaskowski “did not want to propose his celebrations in which one could participate, but he wanted to disorganize the celebration of Independence Day for Polish patriots with right-wing or national views.”
