The vote on the motion to waive Michał Woś's immunity will take place on Friday. In turn, the motion to revoke Marcin Romanowski's immunity has not yet been submitted to the Sejm Rules and Regulations Committee. As TVN24 reporter Agata Adamek reported, “there is still a chance” to hold a vote on the motions to lift Romanowski's immunity and temporarily arrest him “in July.”

As TVN24 reporter Agata Adamek reported, on Friday the Sejm will vote on the motion to lift the immunity of former deputy minister of justice Michał Woś. The Sejm Rules Committee will meet on Wednesday and recommend this motion to the entire Sejm. On Thursday, a member of the Rules Committee will inform MPs what the recommendation is.

Woś himself said at a press conference that he felt innocent and intended to appear before the Sejm and present his arguments.

At the end of May, the prosecutor general and the minister of justice Adam Bodnar informed about the referral to the Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia a request to waive the immunity of PiS MP, politician of Sovereign Poland, Michał Wosi. The application concerns the expenditure of funds for the purchase of Pegasus software from the Justice Fund. The investigation into the Justice Fund case is being conducted by the National Prosecutor's Office.

When is the vote on lifting Marcin Romanowski's immunity?

Another request to waive immunity concerns former deputy minister of justice Marcin Romanowski. The prosecutor's office wants to bring 11 charges against him. In addition to the request to waive the immunity, there is also a request for the consent of the Sejm to detain and temporarily arrest Romanowski.

According to Adamek, the application regarding Marcin Romanowski has not yet been submitted to the regulations committee. – But there is still a chance, as representatives of this committee and colleagues of the Speaker of the Sejm say, that the two motions regarding Romanowski will be voted on in July – said the TVN24 reporter.

Yesterday, Jarosław Urbaniak from KO, head of the parliamentary regulations committee, was asked what was happening with the request for lifting the immunity of Marcin Romanowski, said that he would like “all procedures to be carried out in such a way that – as in the case of Mr. Woś – the committee will meet on the first day of the next session of the Sejm, so that this procedure can be completed at that next session.” The next meeting is scheduled for July 10-12.

He assured that this would happen before the Sejm “holidays”, lasting from the end of July to mid-September.

On June 19, the Prosecutor General submitted to the Sejm a request for consent to bring MP Marcin Romanowski criminally liable, as well as his detention and temporary arrest. The charges concern 11 crimes, including activities in an organized criminal group.
