“Whoever obstructs or frustrates criminal proceedings, helping the perpetrator of a crime to avoid criminal liability, in particular whoever hides the perpetrator, creates false evidence, or covers up traces of the crime, shall be subject to the penalty of imprisonment from 3 months to 5 years,” wrote Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. He added that “it's just a reminder” of this provision of the Penal Code. Earlier on Thursday, an arrest warrant was issued for Marcin Romanowski because for several days the police have not been able to locate him to make his temporary arrest.

In this way he partially quoted Art. 252. par. 1. of the Penal Code, which reads: “Whoever obstructs or frustrates criminal proceedings, helping the perpetrator of a crime to avoid criminal liability, in particular whoever hides the perpetrator, covers up traces of the crime or serves a sentence for the convicted person, shall be subject to the penalty of imprisonment for up to 5 years.”
An arrest warrant for Marcin Romanowski

On Monday, the court issued a decision on the temporary arrest of the MP. However, by Thursday evening, police officers had not managed to determine his whereabouts or arrest him.
The prosecutor's office accuses Romanowski of committing 11 crimes, including participation in an organized criminal group and fixing competitions for money from the Justice Fund. At the same time in Monday's decision the court assessedthat the evidence presented by the prosecutor indicates a high probability that the suspect committed 10 crimes.
