The head of Polish diplomacy, Zbigniew Rau, presented the ambassadorial nomination Marek Magierowskiwho will become the new ambassador to the United States.
On Sunday Magierowski he left office as the Polish ambassador to Israel. He held the office from June 2018.
At the beginning of October, the parliamentary foreign affairs committee gave a positive opinion Magierowski as the Polish ambassador in Washington, where he will replace Piotr Wilczek, who has been in office since November 2016.
Marek Magierowski was born in 1971. He graduated from hispanic studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. For over 20 years he worked as a reporter, editor and publicist. In October 2015, he ended his journalistic career and started working in the Chancellery of the President as an expert on public diplomacy, then became the director of the KPRP Press Office.
From June 2017 to May 2018, he was the deputy minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
