Marek Makuch is dead. Former Bajm bassist died on June 12 at the age of 69. Information about his death was provided by the Youth House of Culture in Puławy, with which the musician has collaborated in recent years.

“It is with regret and great regret that we inform you that Marek Makuch – musician, actor, extraordinary man, our friend has passed away” – wrote the Puławy center on social media. The information about Makuch’s death was also confirmed by his former bandmate Bogdan Tchórzewski. “Jarek Kozidrak is no more, and today (June 12 – ed.), another member, Marek Makuch, passed away on the anniversary of his death,” he informed. “I think we’ll play there again someday” – he added in the content of the entry with a joint photo.

The current members of Bajm also said goodbye to the music. “Goodbye Marek! You will always remain in our memory … “- it was written on the band’s official Facebook profile. Fans of the group posted numerous comments under the post, expressing their sympathy for the relatives of the deceased.

Marek Makuch was Bajm’s bass guitarist from 1980 to 1985. Together with the band, he recorded two albums – “Bajm” and “Martwa Woda”. In recent years, he was the vocalist of the Old Klezmer Trio group, performing covers of klezmer music in Yiddish.
