The words of PiS MP Marek Suski about the “Brussels occupation” in the context of relations with the European Union were commented on by Professor Andrzej Zoll, former president of the Constitutional Tribunal and former ombudsman, in “Facts after Facts”. I think it’s stupid to say something like that. There is no level of comparison, he assessed.
PiS MP Marek Suski he compared Poland’s struggle with the aggressors during World War II to the current relations with the European Union. “We will fight the Brussels occupier,” he said. Then he repeated these words at a session of the parliamentary committee.
Professor Zoll commented on the words of the politician in “Faktach po Faktach”. – I think it’s stupid to say something like that. There is no level of comparison, he assessed.
He said that he was under German occupation indirectly. – I was three when the war ended, but I lost two of my older brothers in the Warsaw Uprising. I had a very large circle of, for example, schoolmates who were either orphans or lost their fathers during the war, he recalled. – Of course, I experienced it not directly, but very close to these events – he added.
– Saying that we have the Brussels occupation is a great degree of stupidity – assessed Zoll.
