In Mareza (Pomeranian Voivodeship) there was a collision between a truck and a passenger car. Among the passengers of the Volkswagen passenger car, only a 2-year-old child avoided hospitalization. The driver and passenger were taken to hospital.

The accident occurred on Monday around 10.30. The collision between a passenger car and a truck took place at ul. Długa in Mareza (Pomeranian Voivodeship).

The Volkswagen driver tried to overtakeKPP Kwidzyn

– Preliminary police findings show that the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen collided with a truck during an improperly performed overtaking maneuver and not adjusting the speed to the road conditions – said the District Police Headquarters in Kwidzyn.

There were three people traveling in the passenger car

In addition to the driver, a 24-year-old woman and a 2-year-old child were traveling in the car. The driver and passenger were taken to hospital by ambulance. Nothing serious happened to the child and he was taken into the care of the family.

Three fire brigades were on site. According to the officer on duty at the Provincial Commander’s Command, the last of them returned to the unit around 12.30.
