Marian Banaś applied to the Marshal of the Sejm to dismiss Tadeusz Dziuba, vice-president of the Supreme Audit Office. It is about the “obstruction” of voting for the NIK college, which was “an expression of open and ostentatious breaking of the rules”. Additionally, a notification of “reasonable suspicion of a crime” by Dziuba was sent to the prosecutor’s office.

A conference was held at the Supreme Audit Office on Wednesday. Doctor Tomasz Sobecki from the Supreme Audit Office accused Tadeusz Dziuba, vice president of the chamber, of “obstruction” at a meeting of the NIK college. – Vice-president Tadeusz Dziuba announced at the college that he would not take part in the vote and did not take part, although he stayed in the room. According to the President of the Supreme Audit Office, such behavior of Tadeusz Dziuba is unacceptable and undermines the authority of the Chamber. It proves a deliberate failure to fulfill the duties of a member of the NIK college – he said.

He emphasized that “the resignation of a college member from participation in works on documents undertaken by this body is an expression of open and ostentatious breach of statutory and internal rules”. Therefore, he informed, legal steps were taken against Dziuba.

The director of the legal department of the Supreme Audit Office, Barbara Komar, announced that President Marian Banaś “asked the Marshal of the Sejm to recall Tadeusz Dziuba from the position of Vice-President of the Supreme Audit Office”. She added that “a notification was sent to the prosecutor’s office about a reasonable suspicion of committing a crime (by Dziuba – ed.), I.e. failure to fulfill obligations by refusing to vote for the college”.
