Marines publish picture of dignified switch of fallen service members killed in Kabul

The U.S. Marines took to Twitter late Sunday to publish a photograph of the flag-draped switch {cases} of the fallen service members who died final week in the course of the bombing in Kabul. 

The {cases} had been inside a C-17 Globemaster II and the picture was taken on Aug. 29. The our bodies had been headed to Dover Air Drive Base in Delaware. 

“Gone, however by no means forgotten,” learn the caption.

The assaults killed not less than 60 Afghans and 13 U.S. troops, Afghan and U.S. officers mentioned.

U.S. officers initially mentioned 11 Marines and one Navy medic had been amongst those that died. One other service member died hours later. Eighteen service members had been wounded and officers warned the toll might develop. Greater than 140 Afghans had been wounded, an Afghan official mentioned.
