Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak informed that there are already Abrams tanks in Poland. Soldiers of the Polish Army are to train there. “Poland will have a modern, powerful force to deter the aggressor in an emergency,” added the deputy prime minister.
“The Abrams tanks, on which the soldiers of the Polish Army will be trained, are already in Poland. We will be ready when the first of the 250 most modern tanks we have ordered appear. Poland will have a modern, powerful force to deter the aggressor in an emergency” – he wrote on Monday, on Twitter, the deputy prime minister, the minister of defense Mariusz Błaszczak.
Completing the gaps
As previously reported by the Information Radio Agency, the first deliveries of used Abrams should start at the beginning of next year.
The machines – the agency reported – will complement the shortcomings that arose after our country handed over the T-72 tanks to the Ukrainian army. As part of the supply of weapons to Ukraine more than 240 modified vehicles were delivered.
