The police entered the Presidential Palace, where they detained Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik. “Everyone is equal before the law,” wrote Marcin Kierwiński, Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, on social media.
– According to our information, both were arrested Maciej Wąsik, as well as Mariusz Kamiński – said Robert Zieliński from tvn24.pl. – Both former Law and Justice MPs were detained by police officers on the premises of the Presidential Palace – added the journalist.
“Detained in accordance with the court’s order” – such an entry appeared on the profile of Czesław Mroczek, deputy head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
“Everyone is equal before the law,” wrote the Minister of Interior and Administration briefly Marcin Kierwiński.
“Everyone is equal before the law. Everyone! Wąsik and Kamiński detained,” wrote the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk.
The Warsaw police also commented on the matter. “Referring to the previous message, we would like to inform you that in accordance with the court order, the persons concerned by the instructions have been detained,” it was written on the X platform.
– There is no information at this point whether both men are still in the Presidential Palace or whether they have already been taken away – reported TVN24 reporter Sebastian Napieraj shortly before 8 p.m.
Tuesday during the day Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik took part in the ceremony of appointing new advisors Andrzej Duda in the Presidential Palace. Later, around 3 p.m. they went outside the Palace, but did not hand themselves over to the police, but only made a statement.
