Kaczyński: we have the first political prisoners after 1989

Kaczyński said that we have “the first political prisoners after 1989.” – This is very sad, incredibly scandalous, because these are people who were convicted for crimes they did not commit – he said.

– Specifically, people who were high in the social hierarchy were convicted for fighting crime. And this is the reason for this revenge, such ferocity against them, despite the president’s pardon, he continued.

– Then, despite other actions, despite the Supreme Court’s ruling in this case, (…), we are dealing here – I repeat it once again – with such ferocity that shows the essence of the current government, which itself has in its ranks, also in many people in the parliament who hide behind immunity, and which at the same time treats with such hatred, with fierce hatred, people who wanted elementary order to be restored in Poland in this sphere, there is no such order – continued the PiS president.

Kaczyński on the “unprecedented scandal”

The PiS president spoke of “an incredible scandal that these two people are in prison today.” – I deeply believe that there will be a change in Poland and that the people who made it happen, who are involved in all this, will suffer very far-reaching consequences and that finally, after thirty-odd years, justice will prevail in Poland and that this tragically an unfair and, at the same time, disastrously ineffective system that we managed to undermine for eight years – well, unfortunately, not completely break it, but undermine it – but it will be completely broken – he said.

He added that he believes that “Poland will then be a different country, that all activities that aim to make Poland an area inhabited by Poles and ruled from the outside will be rejected, and that our really serious development opportunities will be used.” .

According to Kaczyński, the 2015 pardon is effective and therefore there is no need for the president to pardon Kamiński and Wąsik again. – The very fact that a further trial was held in this case is one of the elements of the judicial rebellion and gigantic anarchy that was introduced in Poland by PO and various judges’ associations – he added.

He also accused those in power of “brazenly violating the constitution and law.”
