The new US ambassador to Poland, Mark Brzezinski, presented President Andrzej Duda with a letter of credentials at the Belweder Palace. Apart from him, the ambassadors of the Republic of Korea, Mexico and Indonesia also did so.
The ceremony of presenting the credentials to the president was held in Belweder Palace on Tuesday Andrzej Duda by ambassadors – informed the Chancellery of the President. They were ambassadors USA – Mark BrzezinskiRepublic of Korea – Hoon-min Lim, Mexico – Juan Sandoval Mendiolea and Indonesia – Anita Lidya Luhulima.
Ambassador of Polish roots
Mark Brzezinski is the son of Zbigniew Brzezinski, national security adviser to former president Jimmy Carter. He is a lawyer and diplomat by education. As part of the Fullbright scholarship, he wrote the work “Fight for constitutionalism in Poland”. In 2009, for his activities for Poland, he was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.
The US ambassador to Warsaw has not been present since the beginning of 2021. Due to Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential election, Georgette Mosbacher, who had been the ambassador since autumn 2018, resigned on December 25, 2020.
