A truck hit an elk on national road number 62 near Serock. Two other cars then ran over the animal, one of which overturned, landing in a ditch.
The incident happened on Saturday, around 5 o’clock, on the national road number 62, near the town of Marynino, near Serock.
– Three cars were involved in the incident: one truck and two passenger cars. A truck hit a moose. The moose landed on the road. Two cars, probably coming from the opposite direction, ran over this elk. One of them fell off the road and rolled over, it was a Skoda – Łukasz Szulborski from the fire brigade in Legionowo told us.
– Everyone left the vehicles on their own. There were no injuries, he added. The moose did not survive the collision.
The Zegrze Military Fire Brigade and the rescue and firefighting unit from Legionowo were on the scene. There was also the police. The fire service lasted until 5.40 am. “Traffic was intermittent during the operation,” the firefighter said.
