In Kozienice, Pułtusk and Żuromin in Masovia, police officers and customs officers liquidated illegally operating gaming salons. They seized equipment and cash.

– This is what happened a few days ago in one of the premises in Kozienice, where illegal gaming machines with a total value of PLN 100,000 were seized – said Marcin Sawicki from the press team of the Masovian police. At the beginning of the week, another modern illegal gambling salon was closed down in the same city. The officers seized equipment and a small amount of cash.
Similar activities were recently carried out in one of the gaming salons in Pułtusk. Criminal investigators seized five gambling machines and PLN 8,000 in cash there.
Last week, local police closed down an illegal gaming salon in Żuromin, where five gambling machines and PLN 4,500 were seized. zloty. At the beginning of October, similar activities were carried out in Iłża. There were five slot machines and over PLN 13,000 were secured. zloty.
The police hand over the secured machines to the officers of the Customs and Tax Service, who conduct further proceedings in the case.
Severe penalties
Pursuant to the Gambling Act, private entities cannot organize slot machine games outside casinos. Possession of illegal machines in catering, commercial and service premises carries severe penalties of PLN 100,000 per machine. – Such a fine may be incurred not only by the owner of illegal vending machines, but also by the person who leases or rents the premises where such machines are placed – emphasized Sawicki.
In addition to a high fine, organizing gambling games may also result in imprisonment for up to three years.
