Warning status on the Bug River in Małkinia (Masovian Voivodeship). A flood emergency service has been introduced in the entire Małkinia Górna commune – warn volunteer firefighters from Prosytnia. Local authorities are calling on residents to be careful.
“At 3:00 p.m., the water level at the Małkinia water gauge is 375 centimeters. All services are on the highest alert. The situation is monitored on an ongoing basis,” firefighters from the Prostyń Volunteer Fire Department wrote on social media.
The mayor announces a flood emergency
In turn, on the website of the commune office in Małkinia Górna we read that on January 15, from 8 a.m., a flood emergency was announced, which is valid until further notice.
“Therefore, we ask residents to directly observe the water level and pay special attention to the above-mentioned threat.” The appeal was signed by the mayor of the Małkinia Górna commune, Bożena Kordek.
– The situation is difficult in Kluków, near Małkinia Górna. Water is pouring into the lowest properties – warns Artur Węgrzynowicz from tvnwarszawa.pl.
The tvnmeteo.pl portal informs that the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management warns against intense rainfall snow and snowstorms and blizzards. Up to 25 centimeters of snow may fall locally. There are also more and more places where strong winds will become a threat – its gusts can reach speeds of up to 95 kilometers per hour.
