Masovian. Trains accelerate on the Nasielsk-Sierpc route

As a result of completed renovation works on the railway trail between Nasielsk and Sierpc, a train journey between the Mazowieckie and Kuyavian -Pomeranian voivodships will be about 25 minutes shorter – informs PKP PLK. He also announces that next year the speed of the warehouses will increase even more.

From the new timetable, which has become effective from Sunday, June 15, the trains return to the renovated section connecting two voivodships No. 27 (Nasielsk – Toruń Wschodni) between Raciąż and Sierpc. PKP PLK has announced that works related to the renovation of 17 engineering facilities, replacement of the surface at 33 rail and road crossings and replacement of seven switches have completed. Earlier, in April, robots were finalized on the Płońsk-Rażuż section. There, among others The surface on heavily damaged platforms of the Raciąż station.

The effect of the work is to significantly accelerate trains on the section between Nasielsk and Sierpc. PKP PLK announces that the warehouses will accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour, and the travel time will be shortened by 25 minutes. In addition, railwaymen began building the so -called Linear blockades on the Sierpc – Raciąż – Płońsk trail and railway traffic control devices at Płońsk station.

Next year even faster

“Completion of works is planned until the end of August this stage. After the end of this stage, further work is planned to transfer the Raciąż station to the Płońsk station. Completion of the task in 2026. It will allow you to increase the speed of passenger trains on the Nasielsk – Sierpc route to 120 kilometers per hour, and thus further shortening of the journey by rail by additional minutes. Railwaymen also reminded that last year, during the first stage of work on route No. 27, rails and foundations as well as platform surfaces at the stations and stops: Płońsk, Dalanówek, Baboszewo, Kaczorowo, Zawidz Kościelny, Zawidz and Mieszka. New shelters, benches and information showcases also appeared there.
