On Saturday, the head of the Polish government visited the plants of Rosomak SA in Siemianowice Śląskie. – The reconstruction of our weapons production potential has become possible only thanks to the repair of public finances – he said.

– We allocate billions of zlotys from the Polish budget for the purchase of military equipment. The Polish budget is record-breaking in this respect, he said Mateusz Morawiecki.

– This year we will allocate from 3 to 4 percent of GDP and it will be one of the highest percentages of GDP in the entire North Atlantic Alliance – he added. According to the Prime Minister, the financial outlays will depend on how much equipment the allies will be able to deliver to Poland.

Morawiecki about the order for Wolverines for Ukraine

– Today, here in Siemianowice Śląskie, is a very good day for Polish industry, for Silesia and for Poland – said the head of the government. He reminded that for many months he had been trying to obtain European funds for the purchase and production of weapons in Poland. – And it worked, these treatments were crowned with success – said Morawiecki.

– And today, here from Siemianowice Śląskie, I can say that we receive another order, I bring the order that I received yesterday from the prime minister Ukraine Denys Szmyhal, for 100 Rosomaks that will be produced here, the Prime Minister informed.

He added that the payment for these Wolverines will be from European money obtained by us, “but also from American money obtained by Ukraine.” – After all, we must not forget that today Ukraine is a bulwark of freedom, today Ukraine is a bulwark of the free world – said Morawiecki. As he said, “on those barricades, on those trenches, the issue of the sovereignty and security of Poland and other EU countries is also being played out.”

– It is important for us to be aware that now Polish armaments production is gaining momentum. Also thanks to the fact that we managed to obtain these additional orders. So this is a very good day for Silesia, for Polish industry, we are raising these funds, we are investing here in Polish industry, in Polish production – said Morawiecki.

Prime Minister about the possibility of new orders

At the press conference, the head of the government pointed out that “a powerful armaments production industry is growing in Silesia”. – In Bumar in Gliwice, we will soon announce very important announcements, important information regarding the transfer of part of production and increasing production – announced the Prime Minister.

The head of the government also talked about the possibility of increasing the production of Wolverines from 100 to 200 per year. – We have a huge production potential, new jobs, increased salaries, strengthening Polish industry, this is our goal – he added.

He emphasized that Rosomaks, like Krabs, are “our national value and the brand of the Polish defense industry.”

Morawiecki: domestic production strengthens security

The head of the government pointed out that today Poland is “part of the most powerful military alliance in the history of the world”

– Poland is safe. Today, Poland is becoming a provider of security for others, together with our American and other allies NATO countries. We accept Finland and Sweden to NATO. Putin wanted to weaken NATO, and NATO, i.e. the North Atlantic Alliance, was only strengthened, strengthened by the unity, determination, strength of all NATO members – this is extremely important – stressed Morawiecki.

He noted that “domestic production strengthens security.” – This is extremely important and we talk about it very often. You must not risk freedom, you must not jeopardize our sovereignty, you must not risk Poland. This narrow window, this huge historical opportunity that has appeared must be taken advantage of. And we will use it. Because we know how priceless freedom, sovereignty and security are. The government of Law and Justice attaches the utmost importance to these values and that is why Poland will remain safe said the Prime Minister.
