Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki – referring to Thursday’s Russian missile attack on the center of Vinnitsa – emphasized that it is impossible to get used to barbarism, because then Russian President Vladimir Putin will achieve his goal.
At least 23 people, including three children, died on Thursday in Russian rocket attack on the center of Vinnitsa. Five injured people are in critical condition, the State Emergency Service informed on Facebook.
“64 people were hospitalized, including two children. 34 people are in a serious condition, and five are in a critical condition,” the press release said. As emphasized, the search for 42 people with whom communication has been lost is still ongoing.

As a result of the attack, 55 buildings were destroyed. According to the rescuers, most likely there is no chance that someone will survive under the rubble of the hit buildings.

After the attack, several dozen people were detained and checked for possible participation in targeting Russian missiles, said Interior Minister Denys Monastyrski, quoted by the Suspilne portal. Air Force Spokesman Ukraine Yuri Ihnat stated that the Kalibr rockets that attacked the city were launched from a submarine in the Black Sea.
The attack took place in the morning. According to preliminary findings, three rockets struck the city center. An office building was the target, residential buildings and the Officers’ House, which houses the concert hall, also suffered. As a result of the explosion, a fire broke out and several dozen cars caught fire.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky he called the attack on Vinnitsa an act of terrorism and called Russia a terrorist state.
