Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki decided to make a series of visits to European countries in the near future due to the difficult geopolitical situation – said government spokesman Piotr Mueller. He added that the first three visits to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will take place on Sunday.
At a press conference on Saturday, Mueller drew attention to the difficult geopolitical situation caused by recent actions from the eastern side. Among other things, he spoke about organizing migration activities that led to a crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border.
– We have to draw conclusions from what has happened in terms of Russia’s actions in Georgia, Russia’s actions in Crimea and Russia’s actions in eastern Ukraine. All these conclusions and information flowing to our country and our allied countries make it difficult to assess the geopolitical situation, said the government spokesman.
He added that there were also issues “related to, for example, the new energy blackmail tool that appears in the hands of Russia, i.e. the potential launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline”.
