About 275,000 of this year's high school graduates, second -cycle technicians and industry schools, today begins the secondary school -leaving examination. Together with them with the Polish language exam, graduates from earlier years will face.

- The high school graduate must take three compulsory written exams at the basic level: from Polish, in mathematics and foreign language. Two oral exams are also mandatory – from Polish and foreign language.
- The written exam session will start on May 5 and will last until May 22. Written exams will start at and 14 in accordance with the schedule prepared by CKE.
- A high school graduate who does not pass one obligatory exam has the right to amend. The resit examination session will take place on August 19-20.

This year's graduates are the first year of high school graduates who will take exams again on the basis of the requirements set out in the core curriculum, and not on the basis of examination requirements, which were introduced in connection with Pandemia Covid-19. The current basis is the so -called A slimmed basis, in which the content of teaching was reduced by 20 percent.
From this year, high school graduates chronically, e.g. on diabetes, will be able to bring an electronic device to the room for monitoring health.

All this year's graduates must also take two oral exams: Polish language and foreign language. High school graduates for national minorities must still take the oral exam in their native language. High school graduates must also take one written exam at the extended level (in the case of a modern foreign language at the extended or bilingual level), i.e. the exam with the so -called additional object or to choose from. Those willing can take a maximum of five more exams at the extended level.
Among the items to choose from: biology, chemistry, philosophy, physics, geography, history, art history, music history, computer science, Latin and ancient culture, knowledge about society, languages of national and ethnic minorities, regional language, as well as mathematics, Polish language and foreign languages modern. Exams from the subject to choose from are taken at the extended level. Therefore, this group also includes – at this level – items that are mandatory at the basic level.
Exams from 9 o'clock
Graduates of the four -year technical school and graduates of the second degree industry school are not required to take the exam in one additional subject at the extended level, if they met all the conditions necessary to obtain a diploma confirming the professional qualifications or a professional diploma in a profession taught at the technique level. Data from the Central Examination Commission (on April 17 this year) shows that 3.1 percent decided to such a step. high school graduates. The duration of the written exams depends on the subject that the high school graduate passes and on the level of the exam. For example, the Polish language exam at the basic level lasts 240 minutes, and at the extended level – 210 minutes, and the mathematics exam at both levels lasts 180 minutes. The written exam session will start on May 5 and will last until May 22. Written exams will start at 9 and 14 in accordance with the schedule prepared by CKE. The oral exam session will be held on May 9-24. Oral exams will be carried out according to schedules set by the chairmen of the exam teams in schools.
You need 30 percent of points to pass
To pass the high school diploma, the abroad must get a minimum of 30 percent. points on compulsory exams. In the case of the subject, there is no final threshold, the exam result only serves when recruiting for studies.
