Mazovia. Strong gusts of wind are coming. Warnings for Warsaw

Forecasters warn of strong winds that are coming over Poland. It will blow in Mazovia on Friday and Saturday. In Warsaw, it is supposed to blow the strongest until Saturday afternoon.

According to the portal tvnmeteo.pl forecasters issued warnings for many regions of the country, including Mazovia. Alerts are in force in the northern and north-western counties and will be valid from 21 on Friday until 18 on Saturday.

The capital city hall reported that a strong and gusty wind – Hurricane Otto – is coming over Poland, and according to information from the Government Security Center, the wind will blow at an average speed of 50-70 kilometers per hour, with gusts up to 100 kilometers per hour.

– remove from windowsills and courtyards all objects that can be blown away by the wind, – move cars to a safe place, if they were previously parked under trees, – close windows and doors, – stay at home if possible, – do not stop under trees, – ensure the safety of your animals, especially those outside, – prepare replacement lighting – flashlights with a supply of batteries. The wind can damage power lines, – be careful when driving a car, firstly because of the branches and trees that may break, secondly – when leaving the sheltered road into the open there is a risk of blowing the car away.
