The Mazovian National Revenue Administration and the Warmińsko-Mazurska Border Guard liquidated tobacco warehouses in the Wołomin district. The value of the seized tobacco is nearly PLN 12 million. The dog Dollar participated in the action.
The spokeswoman for the Head of the National Revenue Administration, Justyna Pasieczyńska, informed that KAS and Border Guard officers had inspected one of the properties in the Wołomin district. – In the warehouse halls they detected almost 16 tons of cut smoking tobacco without Polish excise stamps – explained Pasieczyńska.
She also indicated that the officers were assisted by the dog Dolar, trained to detect tobacco products. Thanks to his work, another warehouse was discovered. – Officers found cardboard boxes on pallets, filled with cut smoking tobacco – said KAS spokeswoman.
Justyna Pasieczyńska calculates that if tobacco went on sale, the estimated losses of the state budget would amount to nearly PLN 18 million. – The secured goods went to the deposit warehouse of the Mazovian Customs and Tax Office in Warsaw. The case is developing, Pasieczyńska noted.
