Robert Lewandowski started the new La Liga season brilliantly. The captain of the Polish national team became the hero of Barcelona in their first league match against Valencia. The “Pride of Catalonia” was already losing 0:1, but eventually won 2:1 after two goals from the Pole. First, he found his way well in the penalty area and drove the ball into the goal from a few meters, and in the second half he converted a penalty kick.

The Pole has made it onto the covers of the biggest Spanish newspapers. And after the first round, he is the leader of the scoring charts. – I trained him in Bayern, I know him really well. Today he played well, not only because of the two goals, but also because of his defensive play – this is how Barcelona coach Hansi Flick assessed Lewandowski's game.
The captain of the Polish team received high marks for his performance. He was particularly distinguished by the Sofascore portal. The portal, which rates all the moves from the entire match, placed Lewandowski in the team of the week. What's more! It even chose him as the player of the round. Lewandowski received the highest mark – 8.4. In second place was Rodrygo from Real Madrid with a mark of 8.1.
There is also room in the team for two other Barcelona players: Raphinha (8.0) and Lamine Yamal (7.8). Kylian Mbappe, who made his debut for Real on Sunday in the league match (1:1 with Mallorca), is not there.
