Julia Szeremeta won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in boxing in the 57 kg category. The Polish boxer lost unanimously on points to Taiwanese Lin Yu-Ting. Nevertheless, it is a huge success, because we have been waiting for a Polish Olympic medal in this discipline for 32 years.
In recent days, one of the most frequently discussed topics in the media has been the controversy surrounding the Taiwanese woman, and more specifically the fact that, according to the boxing organization IBA, she was found to have XY chromosomes (this is a pair of chromosomes present in most men – ed.), as well as elevated testosterone levels. To date, no evidence has been presented in this case and it is not known where or by what method the gender tests were conducted. The International Olympic Committee, which is in dispute with the IBA, deems the tests unreliable and so allowed Yu-Ting to compete for medals.
The Confederation MP and the Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs from the New Left got into a heated discussion. It was about the gender of Julia Szeremeta's opponent
This topic was also raised in the latest program “Åšniadanie Rymanowskiego” on Polsat News. At one point, the host Bogdan Rymanowski asked his guests whether this was a matter of politics and ideology or a matter of medicine?
The first to speak was SÅ‚awomir Mentzen, a member of parliament for the Confederation – This should be a medical issue, but unfortunately it isn't, and ideas have their consequences – he stated, and after a moment he attacked the commentators – Yesterday it was terribly sad to watch the final of Julia Szeremeta. Firstly, because it was obvious that the fight was unequal, and secondly, because the commentators didn't even say a word about the controversy related to this fight. And this controversy was that her opponent was simply a man – he blurted out. – Now why does the president of the IOC say that it is impossible to check whether someone is a woman or a man nowadays? – Why does he say that competitors will start in competitions based on their ID card, and not based on medical data? – he asked rhetorically. – Because there is ideological pressure, generated precisely by the modern left – he answered his own question.
Dariusz Standerski, deputy minister of digital affairs from the New Left, from the New Left, reacted immediately to Mentzen's words. – You're lying. You're lying. Athletics solved that. So why isn't athletics in the IOC and why is it in the IOC? – he asked.
– Because of ideological pressure – he replied. You have an obsession and intellectual emptiness. When we talk about it… You are lying – he did not mince his words – When there is a question about the organization of sports, your only answer is, let's say, gender quotas in the boards. You reduce everything to one thing and are not able to look at the issue as it is – he emphasized. – It is a simple matter there. Either someone has the XX or XY chromosome. Unfortunately, the modern left says that gender is a fluid matter. That you can change your gender from one to another, from one to another. The consequence of this in the West is that you can basically change your gender on the spot – he added.
After this statement, Dariusz Standerski decided to ask Mentzen a question again. – Right away? At a newsstand? – he asked. – In Germany – answered Mentzen. – Basically, as much as you want. You say that children are born in homosexual couples, that a man can also give birth to children and then such a president of the IOC draws consequences from this. Julia Szeremeta's opponent was a man, the whole world saw that he was a man, but people are even afraid to say as a result of this ideological pressure that he created – he summed up.
