Law and Justice MEP Patryk Jaki defends his father, who was accused of mobbing by employees of Wodociągi i Kanalizacji in Opole, where Ireneusz Jaki is the president. The former minister of justice contacted the journalist tvn24.pl, Iga Dzieciuchowicz, who was preparing the text on this subject, and invited her to an interview with the Ministry of Justice, where he is no longer employed. – I understand that the families of politicians and the opposition are a grateful subject, comments Jacek Ozdoba, deputy minister of climate and environment from Solidarna Polska. The opposition, however, talks about “a closed chain”, “the command center of Ziobrova’s gang” and “standards straight from Belarus”.

Employees accuse Ireneusz Jaki, president of Wodociągi i Kanalizacji in Opole, of mobbing. Jaki denies, saying that the charges are revenge for revealing irregularities in the course of the electricity tender. The father is defended by the son – Patryk JakiMEP PIS and former deputy minister of justice (2015-2019).

The MEP contacted the journalist of tvn24.pl Iga Dzieciuchowicz, the author of the text about Ireneusz Jakim, after she tried to contact his father. – I must admit that I was surprised by this phone call. We talked for about 15 minutes. Mr. Patryk explained to me that this is a more complicated matter than it looks and he would like to tell me what it is according to him and his father – described the journalist in the TVN24 studio.

Patryk Jaki invited a journalist to the Ministry of Justice, where he is no longer employed. – At this meeting, he asked to turn off the dictaphones. He told me that he would like me to listen carefully to what he was saying as he would not like to drag me through the courts. He asked me twice if I was a journalist who pursues the truth. He said that the fact that his father is currently accused of mobbering behavior is due to the fact that he reported to the prosecutor’s office about the so-called electricity tender. In this case, the president claimed that he was omitted in the settlement, and the accusations by the employees are revenge for revealing the scandal – said the journalist.

Jacek Ozdoba, deputy minister of climate and environment from Solidarna Polska, was asked about this formula of the meeting between Patryk Jaki and the journalist – and its legitimacy.

– Let’s not be funny. If they have anything, please disclose it, otherwise there should of course be appropriate legal steps. This is a bit of reducing the subject to absurdity. I understand that the families of politicians are a grateful subject and the opposition likes to do it, he said. – I would not reduce the matter to the absurd – he added.

Śmiszek: the command center of Ziobrowa’s gang

Krzysztof Śmiszek (Left) commented: – You can see that Solidarity Poland she made the Ministry of Justice the command center of Ziobrova’s gang, because how else can you explain the presence of an MEP in the Ministry of Justice, who feels at home, invites you to the rooms, to the salons and talks with the journalist, trying to, by implication, influence her text?

In his opinion, the presence of a journalist in the Ministry of Justice “can mean only one thing: that Ministry of Justice she looks at the hands of this journalist. “This shows that the Ministry of Justice was privatized by the activists of Solidarity Poland,” he concluded.

Bejda: it looks as if it was his private field

Member of the PSL Paweł Bejda described the situation as “in a youthful way: thick”. – If a son, being an active politician, being a former deputy minister of justice, but no longer in office, invites a journalist to the Ministry of Justice, it looks as if it was his private field. I have no words at all about how the Polish state is used instrumentally by the politicians of Solidarity Poland – he added.

– This is a family affair, this case concerns his father, so he should be as far away from this case as possible, and besides, I think that even if he withdraws from this case, he still has friends. And so there are telephones, he can call, somewhere in the background there is his figure as an active politician and as a politician who is in the authorities of Solidarna Polska, and Solidarna Polska currently has no influence on what is happening in the prosecutor’s office – he said envoy.

Kierwiński: not only the system has been created, but the whole closed sequence

– These are standards straight from Belarus – assessed Marcin Kierwiński, MP from the Civic Coalition. – An important politician invites a journalist who deals with the case to the ministry – why is she doing it? In order to influence what journalists will say about this case and to show that it really has an impact on the prosecution, because it cannot be interpreted otherwise – he added.

In his opinion, “it can be said that not only a system has been created, but the entire closed sequence”. – On the one hand, an attempt to influence the media, on the other hand, an attempt to influence the prosecutor’s office, showing that you have a lot of influence. In other words, Patryk Jaki is trying very hard to prevent his dad’s case from taking place, so that it is somehow swept under the rug, both from the prosecutor’s office and from the media, he assessed.
