On Wednesday, a letter from the head of the Ministry, Przemysław Czarnek, was published on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science, addressed to the participants of the November 11 celebrations all over Poland. In the letter, the minister emphasized the importance of this holiday in the tradition and history of Poland.

“The National Independence Day is a special day in the calendar of Polish historical anniversaries. We remember the events of 1918, when Poland returned to the map of Europe after 123 years of captivity,” wrote Przemysław Czarnek.

“We remember with reverence the generations of Poles who fought in various ways – often in distant corners of the world – for the freedom and independence of our homeland. Czarnek: it is important to shape respect for our history in young people

The head of MEiN wrote that the next anniversary of Poland regaining independence reminds us that every day we are obliged to care for the prosperity of our country. “Out of concern for the common good, modern patriotism and a sense of civic duty are most fully manifested. Only such an attitude allows us to be the spiritual heirs of those who served Poland selflessly and without limits” – he noted.

In his opinion, the celebration of the 103rd anniversary of Poland regaining independence perfectly fits the idea of ​​cultivating the memory of the heroes of freedom. He added that they are an expression of respect and reverence, as well as a testimony to the young generation.

“It is very important for young people to develop respect for our history, attachment to national symbols, and a sense of pride in being Polish. I cordially greet you and wish you a happy celebration” – said Czarnek.
