Mexico. The murder of a Pole in Tijuana. Investigation of the Polish prosecutor's office

The prosecutor's office announces the initiation of an investigation into the death of a 35-year-old from Pabianice (Łódź) in Mexico. The man died with a knife in Tijuana at the US border. As a spokesman for the Łódź prosecutor's office informed us, the investigators decided to initiate proceedings after media publications.

As we reported, the incident occurred on May 8 in the Granjas Familiares II district in Tijuana, a Mexican city located near the border with the United States.

There were recordings on the web, where you could see the whole incident. A 35-year-old Pole tried to enter the bus when he was attacked by several men. A resident of Pabianice was killed by a knifeand the cause of the attack was to be incorrectly accusing him of the abduction of a five -year -old child.

There will be an investigation of the Polish prosecutor's office

According to TVN24.pl on Thursday, prosecutor Paweł Jasiak, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź, will soon be initiated in this matter in this case in this case.

– We learned about the event from the media. So far, we have not received a formal notification of a crime. The consul announced a notification of Polish bodies, but we have not yet noted this fact. A family did not come to us either, which is why the investigation will be initiated ex officio – noted prosecutor Jasiak. He emphasized that investigators do not have any confirmed information about a tragic attack yet.

Earlier at the convened press conference, the Prosecutor General of Mexico María Elena Andrade Ramirez announced that the Pole behaved chaotically and toxicological tests would be carried out. She added that there could be no attempt to kidnap a five -year -old. The murder is investigated by a Mexican prosecutor's office.

– We will ask the Mexican website to send materials from this procedure. Our further steps will depend on the conclusions of Mexican prosecutors, they will actually conduct the investigation. The jurisdiction of Polish organs is limited there – noted the spokesman of the Łódź prosecutor's office.

The message after a tragic event was issued by the Polish embassy in Mexico.

“The Consul of the Republic of Poland in Mexico takes appropriate actions in connection with the murder of a Polish citizen in Tijuana,” reads the embassy in social media.
