Michał Adamczyk, former presenter of “Wiadomości” TVP, is to pay PLN 25,000 with statutory interest to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The court issued a judgment regarding Adamczyk's dissemination of untruths about Roman Giertych.
The court expects the following statement from Michał Adamczyk: “I apologize to Mr. Roman Giertych for violating his personal rights by publishing on my profile on the Twitter social networking site on December 6, 2020, an entry containing false information that Mr. Roman Giertych embezzled PLN 92 million PLN and accepted multi-million financial benefits. The statement is published as a result of a lost court case.
By decision of the court, the former TVP collaborator is to donate to the benefit WOŚP 25 thousand PLN along with statutory interest for delays from December 11, 2024. Adamczyk was also obliged to pay a refund of the lawsuit fee in the amount of PLN 3,000. PLN 100 and the amount of PLN 737 for legal representation together with statutory interest from the date the judgment becomes final.

“WOŚP and I are waiting for the payment!”
Roman Giertych wrote on X: “Mr. Adamczyk, WOŚP and I are waiting for the payment! I am also waiting for an apology. I will prosecute anyone for such slander.”
In another entry, Roman Giertych recalled “that the court, in addition to the awarded amounts, decided that they were to be paid with interest from the date of issuing the judgment on December 11, 2024.”
“So the interest is ticking. In fact, for me, if you file an appeal, it will be even better,” he wrote.
