Former head of the prime minister’s office, Michał Dworczyk, will testify before the parliamentary investigative committee on envelope elections. We will broadcast Dworczyk’s testimony live on the tvn24.pl website.

Dworczyk’s hearing is scheduled to start at 12 noon. Earlier, the committee sent a request to the prosecutor general to request the Chancellery of the Prime Minister to secure and forward to the committee the correspondence sent by e-mail to and by Dworczyk, from March 20, 2020 to June 3, 2020, regarding elections.

Envelope elections

Elections The presidential elections were to be held on May 10, 2020, while the epidemic was ongoing in Poland COVID-19. The government planned that in this situation the elections would be held only by correspondence. The Minister of State Assets was responsible for organizing the vote – in accordance with the Act of April 6 of that year on special rules for conducting presidential elections ordered in 2020 Jacek Sasin.

Sejm commission of inquiry into envelope elections

The eleven-person investigative commission to investigate the legality, regularity and advisability of the actions taken to prepare and conduct the presidential elections in 2020 in the form of postal voting, i.e. envelope elections, began its operation in December 2023.

Its chairman is Dariusz Joński (KO), deputy chairman: Jacek Karnowski (KO), Bartosz Romowicz (Poland 2050) and Waldemar Buda (PiS). So far, he has testified before the commission, among others: deputy prime minister in the PiS government Jarosław Gowinformer Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin and former Deputy Minister of Finance and former PiS MP Artur Soboń.
