– I have absolutely no trust in the prosecutor's office – Andrzej Dera from the President's Chancellery said in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24, referring to the investigative activities in the case of Michał K., former president of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves. In his opinion, “it is clear that the National Prosecutor's Office is steering the investigations”.

On Monday, Michał K., former chairman of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves, was arrested in London. On Tuesday, he appeared before the extradition division of Westminster Magistrates' Court. During the hearing, K. confirmed his personal details and refused to be extradited voluntarily. The British court refused to allow the former RARS chief to pay bail so that he could remain free and answer from a free foot. This means that Michał K. will remain in custody until the extradition hearing.

He refused to be extradited and will remain in custody.

The matter was commented on in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 by the presidential minister Andrzej Dera.

– We need to wait for the procedures in this case, for explanations, because the prosecutor's office today accuses only right-wing people with such a light hand – he said.

– Please note that here they enter at 6 a.m. representatives of the Independence March, even though this event took place six years ago – he continued, referring to the fact that on Wednesday the police entered the headquarters of the Independence March association,in connection with the investigation into the Independence March in 2018.

– I hear all the time, all the time there are accusations against only and exclusively right-wing people. And the Platform people were hiding behind immunities – the presidential minister continued.

He added that “there is absolutely no trust in the prosecutor's office”, which – as he stated – “was established illegally”. – And how can one trust the prosecutor's office, whose management was established in flagrant violation of the law? – he said. He also said that prosecutors “are controlled by those who do not perform these functions in the light of the law”. – This is a very serious problem – assessed Dera.

Dera: the commission of the act still has to be proven

– In general, my general principle is that if someone commits acts (prohibited – ed.), they should be held accountable for it. But this has to be proven. However, the problem that I am talking about now is that today we can see clear control (of investigations – ed.) by the National Prosecutor's Office – the presidential minister continued.

– Accusations are going left and right. They are doing it very strongly, chaotically. But there is still this impression that they are only dealing with these cases (of people associated with the right wing – ed.). And they are doing it in a really overzealous way – said the TVN24 guest.
