If someone doesn't show up, if someone is making noise, it means they are trying to hide something – said Krzysztof Śmiszek, MEP of the Left, in “Kropka nad i”. He commented on the case of the former head of RARS, Michał Kuczmierowski, for whom the prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant. – For many months he was at the disposal of law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor's office, so this situation is somewhat strange, surprising – assessed Michał Wójcik, MP of Sovereign Poland.
The prosecutor issued a decision on Monday in search of Michał Kuczmierowski on the wanted listformer president of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves. There are suspicions in the public sphere that he may not be in the country. Kuczmierowski was charged by the prosecutor's office in the investigation into the irregularities of RARS.
The European MP of the Left Krzysztof Śmiszek and the MP of Sovereign Poland Michał Wójcik (PiS club) commented on this matter in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24.
Śmiszek: If someone has nothing on his conscience, he should appear before the prosecutor
Śmiszek, when asked why he thought the former president of the Agency did not want to appear before the prosecutor's office, replied that “from what we hear, it is not known whether he is in Poland or abroad”. – I will only remind you of the mantra that was always repeated Law and Justice in recent years: if someone has nothing on their conscience, they should not be afraid of anything, just stand before a prosecutor, a police officer, or other services and tell what they know – he said. According to him, “if someone does not show up, if someone is spinning, it means – I guess we can assume – that they are trying to hide something”.
– I will only point out one thing, that Mr. Kuczmierowski always made a career when the Prime Minister made a career (Mateusz) Morawiecki. Prime Minister Morawiecki is increasingly desperately defending his protégé, defending this man, on Twitter and other social media. I wonder what this is all about? Why is he so determined to defend him like this? – asked the MEP.
Wójcik: He was at the disposal of law enforcement agencies for many months
Wójcik argued that “it's more about a vacation”. – For many months (Kuczmierowski – ed.) was at the disposal of law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, so this situation is somewhat strange, surprising – he said.
He stated that he “does not know the details of the whole case”. – So let's wait and see how the events unfold – he added.
Why Not a Woman for President? Wójcik: We Need Decisive, Courageous Decisions
“Kropka nad i” also quoted the words of the PiS chairman Jaroslaw Kaczynskiwho said on Radio Maryja that the list of potential party candidates for president is getting shorter. He admitted that the party believes that a female candidate would not have much chance during the war. – It's hard for me to even imagine a model of this woman who would be this candidate. With a man, it's obvious: he must be young, tall, impressive, handsome. Voters set these image requirements high. He must have a family. He must know English very well. It would be best if he knew two languages - said the PiS chairman.
Wójcik was asked why a woman cannot run. – Today we have to remember that there are war operations, we need decisive, brave decisions – he replied.
When asked if women were not brave, he assessed that “they are”. – I am talking about people who may have had some experience in this area – he said.
Asked whether PiS had asked the public whether a woman would be a good candidate, Wójcik assessed that “it is possible to ask”. – If some polling company asks, I guarantee you that here it will not be exactly as you would accept – he turned to the host of the program Monika Olejnik. He also appealed not to interpret his words in such a way that women are “not suitable”. – I did not say that – he added.
In response to the fact that it was the PiS chairman who said that a woman is not suitable for war, Wójcik said: – The chairman has more experience than me.
The Sovereign Poland MP, when asked whether former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki could be considered as a candidate, stated that “Mateusz Morawiecki probably is not”. – And this is also clear from the words of President Jarosław Kaczyński. (…) The point is that he made decisions, difficult decisions. Today we know that he would also be a person who could be easily attacked – he said.
