A 64-year-old resident of Międzyzdroje (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) was detained by the police in a case of a rollover in Grodno. A bloodied man was supposed to escape from the scene. He left a hunting weapon in the car.
As sergeant Katarzyna Jasion, the press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Kamień Pomorski, told us, on Friday before 9 PM an accident took place between the villages of Wisełka and Międzyzdroje. – The Citroen vehicle rolled over and fell into a roadside ditch. The witness of the incident stated that the man driving had crawled out from under the vehicle. He was covered in blood and ran away to the forest – reports the policewoman.
In the car, the policemen found hunting weapons and documents belonging to a 64-year-old inhabitant of Międzyzdroje. They started looking for a man in the surrounding forests. They failed to find him, despite using a tracking dog.
– Today (editorial on Saturday), before 8 am, the missing man was taken by his family to the police station in Międzyzdroje. However, he was not able to logically explain the circumstances of the road accident, its cause and the reason for the abandonment of the firearm, says Sgt Jasion.
The 64-year-old had visible head and arm injuries, so he was taken to the hospital in Świnoujście. There, too, his blood will be taken for a retrospective alcohol test.
