The 19-year-old Mazda driver was speeding through Mielec (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) at a speed of 159 kilometers per hour, exceeding the speed limit in the built-up area by 109 km/h. He lost his driving license and was punished with a large fine and penalty points.
As reported on Thursday (August 17), the press officer of the Mielec police, junior midshipman Bernadetta Krawczyk, on Wednesday after 10 p.m., the policemen stopped a resident of this city for road control driving along Wojsławska Street in Mielec.
“The driver was driving at a speed of 159 kilometers per hour. There is a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour here. It turned out that the car was driven by a 19-year-old resident of Mielec” – said the policewoman.

She added that for the offense committed, the man lost his driving privileges for three months. He was also fined PLN 2.5 thousand and 15 penalty points were added to his account.
The police once again appeal to all road users to exercise extreme caution and comply with applicable regulations.
“Regardless of what means of transport we use, we all want the same thing – to reach our destination safely” – the police indicate.
