Action of services on the beach in Mielno (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). According to witnesses, the young man was supposed to enter the Baltic Sea early in the morning from the main beach and not leave. The search is ongoing. Police officers determine the course of the event and the identity of the missing person. His clothes were left on the shore, but no documents.

According to information gathered by the services from witnesses to the incident, around 6.50 a young man appeared on the main beach in Mielno and entered the sea near the breakwaters. – At one point the wave took him and he did not sail anymore – Monika Kosiec, spokeswoman for the police in Koszalin, communicated on TVN24.

Two units of the Marine Search and Rescue Service from Kołobrzeg and Darłowo, a specialized group of divers from the State Fire Service (PSP), volunteer fire brigades and water rescuers take part in the search. – The bottom and the shoreline are currently being combed. There are difficult weather conditions, it is raining, there is strong wind, so this action is difficult – said the policewoman.

– This is no longer a rescue operation, but a search – she added.

Only pants and a jacket were left on the beach

There are police officers on the spot who are trying to establish the identity of the wanted man and the exact course of the event. – His clothing remained on the shore. It’s a jacket and pants, but there is no ID on it. . Perhaps this man was in Mielno with his family or friends. Maybe there are some people who stayed with him and they will report him missing in the near future – said Kosiec.
