Policemen from Piaseczno near Warsaw intervened in the parking lot by the S7 expressway, where a 21-year-old driver arranged a drift show for his colleagues. The young man was punished with a high mandate and penalty points.

Young drivers who show off the capabilities of their cars usually choose parking lots at shopping centers, marketplaces or other empty squares. There they try their hand at daring. A spokeswoman for the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piaseczno, subcommittee Magdalena Gąsowska, recalled the example of a 21-year-old BMW driver who recently checked his skills in the parking lot of the Mieszkowo travelers. The viewers were his colleagues.

– Officers of the Piaseczno road also appeared on the spot, who noticed how the BMW driver performs dangerous maneuvers, at high speed, putting the car in slip, which created risk for other parking users. So they took immediate intervention. The 21 -year -old was punished with a penalty of five thousand zlotys and eight penalty points – told the subcommitter Gąsowska.

“It's extremely dangerous”

The policewoman emphasized that such situations “are not rare”. – Many young drivers, under the influence of films and social media, try to drift on public roads and parking lots. It is worth remembering, however, that this type of behavior is not only incompatible with the regulations, but above all extremely dangerous – she pointed out.

– Attempts to perform this type of maneuvers in public places can end tragically – both for the driver and random people who are nearby, and a moment of fun can cost much more than it seems. Lack of driving license, a fine, driving ban, and in the worst case – an accident. Instead of risking in a parking lot or street, it is better to take care of your skills in a legal and safe way, remembering that the road is not a race track – summed up the commissioner Gąsowska.
