Germany sends away foreigners. Not everything according to procedures
Foreigners are transferred to Poland under readmission and other agreements and arrangements, including the so-called Dublin III Agreement, i.e. on the basis of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 2013 on the establishment of criteria and mechanisms for determining the Member State responsible for examining an application for international protection submitted by a third-country national or a stateless person.
In accordance with these regulations Poland is obliged to admit foreigners from other Member States to its territory. These regulations determine which EU country is responsible for examining an asylum application, while applying the principle of indicating the country of first entry.
Since the intensification of migration pressure on the Polish-Belarusian border, the number of foreigners transferred to Poland has increased. As the services have repeatedly informed, The country from which most foreigners are sent back is Germany.
Since the German government introduced stationary inspections, among others, on the border with Poland, the media reported incidents in which German police allegedly brought migrants to Poland and left them on the Polish side. One of such incidents took place in Osinów Dolny. The Polish Prime Minister and the German Chancellor discussed the matter. The German side was to apologize for actions inconsistent with procedures.
