LAS VEGAS – There’s one other high-profile Republican endorsement in Nevada’s midterm election scene.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo endorsed David Brog, who’s operating in Nevada’s 1st Congressional District within the U.S. Home of Representatives.
“Joe Biden and the progressive left’s woke insurance policies have performed great injury to America. Nevada deserves a fighter who is aware of tips on how to defeat these harmful concepts,” Pompeo stated in an announcement launched by Brog’s marketing campaign.
Brog describes himself as one of many leaders in America’s nationwide conservative motion.
“Secretary Pompeo made the world a safer place by understanding that American energy deters aggression — and our weak point invitations it. I look ahead to working with Secretary Pompeo to revive American energy and American management at house and overseas,” Brog, an lawyer and political author, stated.
Brog, former government director of the group Christians United for Israel, is trying to unseat incumbent Democrat Dina Titus.
She has held the seat since 2012.
Cook Political Report, an impartial and non-partisan outlet that analyzes elections, charges this race as a toss-up.
The Nevada Senate revised its 4 congressional districts’ boundaries in November, making the once-solidly blue 1st Congressional District a bit extra aggressive.
This district contains Las Vegas.
Brog is operating in opposition to seven different Republicans, and Titus is operating in opposition to one different Democrat within the June 14 main election.
Early voting in Nevada begins Might 28.
