A road patrol from Mikołów (Śląskie Voivodeship) stopped a 47-year-old BMW driver who, drunk, drove into the wall of the building, fell into a ditch and damaged a power pole. A breathalyzer test showed nearly 3.5 per mille of alcohol in her body.
On Monday, after 8 p.m., traffic police officers were directed to ul. December in Mikołów, where the BMW driver drove into the building. On the spot, it turned out that the 47-year-old first damaged a fragment of the wall and a trash can, and when she was reversing, she drove into a ditch.

In an attempt to get out of it, she ran into a power pole. The woman was staggering and smelled of alcohol. Mikołowianka first went to the hospital, where her blood was taken for further tests, and then to the sobering-up station. The breathalyser test showed nearly 3.5 per mille of alcohol in her body, informs Ewa Sikora, press officer of the Mikołów police.
Police officers inspected the scene of the collision and suspended the woman’s driver’s license. The 47-year-old’s case will go to court. She faces up to two years in prison for drunk driving.
