The driver left the minor road directly at the truck on the road from Drawsko Pomorskie to Kalisz Pomorski (Zachodniopomorskie). The event was recorded by the driver, who was only miraculously not rammed by the truck. One person was injured in the accident.
On Thursday at approx. 16 on the provincial road No. 175 in Mielenko Drawskie there was a serious accident involving a truck and a Hyundai passenger car. – A passenger car entering from a minor road hit a truck that was moving properly – informs us the younger aspirant Karolina Żych, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Drawsko Pomorskie.
Miraculously, no one died
The truck driver lost control of the vehicle as a result of the collision and left the road barely avoiding trees and stopped in a field. He also lost the cargo – concrete slabs.
– The driver of the passenger car was injured in the accident, provided by EMS team (Ed. Team of Medical Rescue), taken to the hospital with a shoulder injury – says the policewoman. He added that both drivers were sober. The police will investigate the details of the incident.
Krzysztof’s second life
The accident was recorded on a car camera by Mr. Krzysztof Wiśniewski, who was driving in the opposite direction to the truck. It shows that the driver of the car did not slow down before the intersection and literally stuck in the side of the truck. Mr. Krzysztof stopped a few meters before the place crossed by the truck running off the road – his car was very close to being swept off the road.
– I was two seconds before I died. Providence watched over me. People are congratulating me on my second life today – he said in an interview with us. He claims that the behavior of the Hyundai driver is inexplicable. – I have the impression that he was still accelerating before the intersection – says Krzysztof. He added that he posted the video as a warning. “Maybe this will save another life on the road,” he says.
