This is the anniversary of the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty, so the Polish delegation should be headed by the Prime Minister, who has real power, and not the president, who has titular power – said former Prime Minister Leszek Miller in “Fakty po Faktach”, speaking about next week's NATO summit.

The summit will be held in Washington, D.C., on July 9-11. FOR THIS. The 75th anniversary of the founding of the Alliance will be celebrated. Former Prime Minister Leszek Miller In the “Fakty po Faktach” program on TVN24, he stated that “since this is the anniversary of the establishment of the North Atlantic Treaty, the Polish delegation should be headed by the Prime Minister, who has real power, and not the president, who has titular power.”

– I have the impression that considering what the president is doing, how he is sabotaging the activities of the Council of Ministers and other institutions, the government should not take the president into account so much. Our law means that the government can govern by bypassing the president, but the president cannot govern by bypassing the government – he continued.

“Facts by Facts” TVN24

Asked to provide examples of this “sabotage”, Miller listed: “He does not sign important laws. He appoints judges who should not be judges. He forces various actions that he should not take, because according to the constitution, the president should actually do little, but focus only on representative matters.”
