Hennig-Kloska also said that a review of all protests against logging operations in state forests and all protected facilities has begun.
– There were many protests, perhaps the first decisions on this matter will be made this year. However, of course, it should also be done with appropriate care, because there are many parties involved in the process, she said.
The minister announced the commencement of work on the act on social supervision of forests.
– We will implement these solutions to actually increase the ability of local communities to decide what is happening in their immediate surroundings – she added.
According to Hennig-Kloska, a reform of the management of the State Forests will be carried out. She announced a reduction in forest clearing, especially in particularly protected areas. She added that wood exports from Poland were to be reduced.
