– On the reception desk we were standing in front of, it is clearly written how MPs can enter the Ministry of Health – after presenting their MP ID. We all showed our identity cards, but the gentleman who was in the porter’s lodge did not deign to listen to us, he was not interested in what we had to say. He did everything to prevent us from taking part in this conference, this meeting – said Scheuring-Wielgus.

– We wanted to ask the minister one important question: why do Polish women die? she added.

In the end, the MPs stayed in the corridor, watching the broadcast on a smartphone. – This conference was one big nightmare. Three sad men talked about what women should do to save themselves from death. We are horrified by this conference and we hope that the ministry and doctors will come to their senses. Enough of women dying in Poland, said the MP.

Dziemianowicz-Bąk: We listened to this conference with great, deep embarrassment

– We listened to this conference with great, deep embarrassment. Minister Niedzielski had the audacity to say that the voice of women like us, activists and patients, is a sign of exaltation – said Dziemianowicz-Bąk.

She added that the minister “called women in Poland exalted only because they do not want to die, that they want to be able to trust a doctor, trust their country, start a family and live safely.”

– The minister also said that every Polish woman in Poland has the right to have her life and health saved. No, that’s not true. This right in a practical and factual sense is constantly being taken away from Polish women. First, the right to choose, freedom, health and life protection was taken away by right-wing politicians. Today, unfortunately, we see more and more often that the right to choose, the right to information about their own health is taken away from Polish women by doctors, said the MP.
