Thanks to a witness’s reaction, the drunk driver was arrested in Mława. “The car he was driving was marked as an ambulance for medical transport, and there were empty vodka bottles inside,” said a spokeswoman for the district police. And she said that the man had over three per mille of alcohol.

Anna Pawłowska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Mława, the incident took place on Wednesday, before 3 p.m. An accidental witness, driving towards Lipowiec Kościelny, noticed the Toyota driver who “clearly did not control the vehicle, every now and then leaving the opposite lane” .
He noticed the driver was lying on the steering wheel
– It was so surprising that the vehicle was marked as a medical transport ambulance for transporting disabled people. This worried the witness. Driving the suspiciously behaving driver all the time, he noticed that the driver had turned off the road to the parking lot in Lipowiec Kościelny. As he got closer, he noticed the driver was lying on the steering wheel. He immediately called the emergency number 112 – said a spokeswoman for the Mława police.
A police patrol arrived at the parking lot. Then, according to Pawłowska, it turned out that a 38-year-old resident of the Mława poviat has over three per mille of alcohol in his body. – In the car, near the driver’s seat, there were empty little vodka bottles. The ambulance was towed to a guarded parking lot. The driver went to the police arrest – emphasized Asp. pc. Pawłowska.
He was supposed to pick up a patient from dialysis
According to the police officers, the drunk driver of an ambulance for medical transport “was on his way to Mława, where he was to pick up dialysis patients”. – The detained man, after he sobered up, heard yesterday the accusation of driving while drunk. He lost driving privileges. He is threatened with a high fine and a penalty of up to two years in prison – said a spokeswoman for the Mława police.
