After Monday’s massive Russian attack on Ukraine, media in Chisinau reported that one of the missiles fell in Moldova. These reports were confirmed by the Moldovan government on Telegram. He did not specify whose missile it was – Russian or Ukrainian.
The Moldovan government said that the missile was found by the Ministry of the Interior near the town of Bryczany. The rocket landed near the border with Ukrainein the fruit orchard.
More details have not been provided. According to the announcement, the police and border guards cordoned off the area, waiting for the arrival of specialist services.
A previous event involving a bullet found in the area Moldova after the Russian attack on Ukraine, took place in late October. The Moldovan Interior Ministry said at the time that the missile was fired by the Russian armed forces towards Ukraine and shot down by Ukrainian anti-aircraft defenses. The rocket fell on the town of Naslavcea in the north of the country.

The Moldovan energy operator Moldelectrica reported disruptions in power supplies caused by Monday’s Russian missile attack on Ukraine.
Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu stated that in such a situation all public services are ready to intervene and restore power as soon as possible. “I am asking for caution and readiness,” he said.
Power outages affected the capital of the country – Chisinau. Residents of the left bank of the Dniester expect that they may soon lose power completely. Authorities have not yet announced where the electricity will be turned off.
