On Friday afternoon, two boys aged 10 and 12 were hit in Monice in the Sieradz County (Łódź Province). The younger of them was hospitalized with serious injuries. The perpetrator of the accident had over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in the body.
As handed over by asp. staff. Agnieszka Kulawiecka from the District Police Headquarters in Sieradz, the incident took place on Friday after 3 p.m.
They were riding bicycles
According to preliminary information, a 27-year-old resident of Zduńska Wola, who was driving his seat in the direction of Sieradz, hit two boys riding on bicycles from the opposite direction. One of them, a 10-year-old, was seriously injured and was transported by helicopter to the Polish Mother Hospital in Łódź. The other boy, a 12-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
After the sobriety test, it turned out that the driver had more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in the body.
