“I took a loan of PLN 496,000, and the bank wants three million more from me. Payday loans have better conditions.” Files a lawsuit
Justyna and Łukasz live with their parents and postponed the decision to have another child. Małgorzata has three of them, but she no longer has the strength. He takes drugs. Agata and Marek took matters into their own hands: when they ran out of installments, they divided the house. Edyta has “only” an apartment, but her rage is growing in direct proportion to interest rates. He’s suing his bank. Because how much can – like Karol – “measure the crisis with radiators”?
Agata and Marek divided their house in half. They converted the laundry room into a kitchenette. They rented the rooms on the partner to strangers, and they occupy the first floor. Thanks to this, they can afford to repay the loan installments, which have recently increased from PLN 1,460 to PLN 3,345.
We just fulfilled our dream. A dream we’ve been saving money for for the last 15 years. And now all of a sudden we’re going to lose them? As soon? Not. We said to ourselves: We don’t give up, we fight – Agata points out.
Edyta, a single woman living in Warsaw, did not give up either. Edyta used to pay PLN 2,800 per month in a loan installment. Today he has to pay 7,000. – This is not a normal situation, it is pure theft with the permission of the government – he says. But he does not lay down his arms. For this, he files a lawsuit and will sue the bank for WIBOR.

I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorders of an adaptive nature, i.e. related to the situation in which I found myself – says Małgorzata, a single mother of three children. – I take sleeping pills. I don’t know how much more I can handle, he adds.
Justyna and Łukasz, a young couple from the Lublin region, also imagined their lives differently. – We have a small child. All three of us live in my mother-in-law’s room – Justyna begins. They have already bought their dream house, but due to a conflict with the contractor, they still have not taken over the building and for now they are paying interest only, without capital. And these have recently grown from PLN 500 to PLN 4,000.
