As reported by the press officer of the police in Lubaczów, junior aspirant Anna Hanus-Witko, an elderly woman was murdered in Moszczanica on Saturday (June 17). One person was arrested in the case. The officer added that an investigation had been initiated in this case under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubaczów and that she would not provide any more information at the moment.
Prosecutor Marta Pętkowska, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Przemyśl, to whom the Lubaczów prosecutor’s office is subject, announced on Saturday evening that the victim was 74-year-old Krystyna G. The woman lived in one house with her daughter and son-in-law – a senior on the ground floor and a married couple on the first floor. The family was conflicted.
The police arrested the woman’s son-in-law, he was drunk
The murder happened Saturday morning. The woman’s body was found by a family member around 10 a.m. Police were on the scene before 11 a.m. There she found the woman’s son-in-law – 54-year-old Józef B. He was intoxicated, had two per mille of alcohol in his blood. He was detained – said prosecutor Pętkowska.
A bloody knife was found at the scene, the victim tried to defend himself
She added that the victim had four stab wounds to the abdomen and defensive wounds to the hands. The police also found a knife with traces of blood on it. The woman’s body was secured for autopsy.
Pętkowska, when asked when the man would be interrogated, replied that after he sobered up, legal proceedings would be carried out with him.
