Probably at the next session, the Sejm will consider the motion to dismiss Włodzimierz Czarzasty from the position of Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, said Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki. It is about the behavior of the Left politician during the first reading of the “Stop LGBT” bill. – To be dismissed for defending the rights of a social group, for trying not to allow this group to be humiliated as much as possible, it is an honor – commented Czarzasty.

Confederation deputies announced on November 5 that they had collected 20 signatures on the motion to dismiss Włodzimierz Czarzasty from the position of deputy speaker for – as they called it – violating the importance of the Sejm during the debate on the civic project “Stop LGBT”. Apart from the Confederation, it was signed by the politicians of Solidarity Poland, Law and Justice and Kukiz’15. The request was submitted to the Sejm.

When asked about the views of the Law and Justice on this motion, the Deputy Marshal admitted that there were different opinions on this matter. – However, he exaggerated a bit with his actions – he assessed. – The marshal also has doubts as to other behaviors, for example, leaving the seat of the marshal during the deliberations – he added.

A stormy debate and “the most disgusting speech in the Sejm”

The situation that triggered the submission of the motion in the case of Czarzasty occurred at the end of October, when the Sejm held the first reading of the civic draft amendment to the Law on Assemblies “Stop LGBT”, submitted by the Życie i Rodzina Kai Godek foundation. The draft assumes that the purpose of the assembly cannot be, among other things, to question marriage as a relationship between a woman and a man, promote the extension of marriage to persons of the same sex, promote legal solutions aimed at privileging such relationships or promote the adoption of children by such relationships.

During the debate on the project, Czarzasty raised a rainbow flag. – I listened to the most disgusting speech in the Sejm for two years, while I was sitting here – said the politician of the Left after Krzysztof Kasprzak, the representative of the Legislative Initiative Committee. In presenting the project, he said, among other things, that “the long-term goal of the LBGT lobby is to destroy marriage and family and all natural social order” and underlined that there are people behind every ideology, “as they stood for, for example, communist or Nazi ideology.”

Czarzasty: I will sleep soundly

Czarzasty, when asked about the Confederation’s request, stressed that “to be dismissed for defending the rights of a social group, for trying to prevent this group from being humiliated as much as possible, it is an honor”. – So if I am dismissed for defending the LGBT community, I will sleep perfectly well. I think that when the summary of my advantages and disadvantages comes to an end, I will rather write it on the advantages side – he said.

Pursuant to the Regulations of the Sejm, the Sejm dismisses a Deputy Marshal on a motion submitted by at least 15 deputies, by an absolute majority of votes in the presence of at least half of the statutory number of deputies.
