A 40-year-old from Długołęka (Dolnośląskie Voivodeship) was driving a completely destroyed car. The man in Mroczeń (Greater Poland Voivodeship) was stopped by police officers and prevented his further journey.

On Tuesday, on the national road No. 39 in Mroczeń, officers of the Police Station in Trzcinica stopped the driver of a Volkswagen Passat vehicle. The car was a true picture of misery and despair. The vehicle posed a real threat to the life and health of the driver and other road users. It differed significantly from other vehicles that can be found on the road – explains Rafał Stramowski, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Kępno, who even called the car a “coffin on wheels”.

The car looked like after a serious accident. It had a twisted body, broken windows, a broken left headlight, and a damaged left wheel arch.

– Due to the suspicion that the driver of the vehicle may be under the influence of alcohol or similar agents, it was tested for alcohol content in the exhaled air. The man turned out to be sober – informs Stramowski.

The 40-year-old inhabitant of Długołęka could not explain his behavior and why he was driving the vehicle, which was in such a terrible technical condition.

– The vehicle has been towed to a guarded parking lot – concludes Stramowski.

For the 40-year-old, driving in a dangerous car resulted in a high fine.
